Dear neighbours and friends, please come to savour traditional Ukrainian dishes organised by Ukrainians hosted in local communities and learn more about the amazing people we are working with.

Saturday 12th November 11am to 3pm at St. Mary's Church, The Street, Shalford GU4 8BP

Thank you for your unwaning support of Ukraine. With 40% of critical infrastructure recently destroyed people in Ukraine face a very bleak winter indeed.

We are teaming up with local volunteers and hospitals who are delivering help and saving lives near the front line and in areas particularly devastated by the war.

Your kindness and generosity have been absolutely amazing saince day one of the invasion! We would really appreciate if you culd help us to collect more items from the list attached below.

This is where a Christmas gift of a warm coat or roofing material is as close to its true meaning as it can be!

You can drop donations any time at 43 Tillingbourne Road, Shalford or hand them over to any of our team members when you come to the lunch on Saturday. Do not hesitate to call Alex on 07402 216991 for more details.

We work with volunteers and hospitals in Nikopol, a small peaceful town where we still have many friends and relatives. The town is only 9km from Zaporitskay nuclear plant across the Dnipro River. The Russian army cannot 'liberate' the town due to the river barrier but it is in easy reach of their artillery. So instead they have been trying to obliterate the town since July 12th, and Ukrainian forces can't do much to stop them as the invaders hide and operate their guns from within the nuclear site itself.

More than 1500 houses, plus many offices, factories and administrative buildings are ruined or destroyed. 80% of the town's population have left for other regions of Ukraine or abroad, but there are still many elderly people and key workers who cannot, or choose not to, escape and have to live under constant rocket, drone and artillery attacks.
